World Prosthodontist day on 7.2.2023

On behalf of World Prosthodontist day, from the department of Prosthodontics, first we started with OSCE session on 7.2.2023, Tuesday 9 to 10.am Dr.Saranya gave Quiz based discussion and case discussion in Tissue conditioners and cast partial denture to CRI students.Followed by that, we have celebration with complete denture mela, we have started the impression for complete denture on 8.2.2023, Wednesday by 12′ o clk, afternoon, followed by jaw relation , wax trial and complete denture insertion on 9.2.2023, Thursday, completed the procedure by 1′ o clk, for 30 patients in the department, PG, UG staff members, PG students, Final year, CRI students have do ne the work with the three technicians, in that 30 patients, the male and female patient with best smile in complete denture was selected and they are rewarded as Mr and Mrs.Smile of the event, with denture maintenance kit as token of appreciation, similarly the student who did the denture with best esthetics and retention was appreciated and given prize.The function was conducted in Periodontics Seminar hall, HOD Dr.C.Dhinesh Kumar welcomed the gathering, Principal Dr.Elanchezhiyan appreciated the efforts of the department of Prosthodontics, Smt. Sendamaraai Avl, Chairperson Mam , Shri.S.Ommsharravana, MD Sir, Mrs.Ishwarya Lakshmi, Trustee Mam were invited as Chief guest, Chairperson Mam gave Presedential address and appreciated the prize winners, Managing Director Sir and Trustee Madam have appreciated the team Prosthodontics, the cake cutting was done for the celebration of the Prosthodontist day.As per the Centre of Excellence of Prosthodontics, the demo with 3D printer and scanner was given to undergraduate students by Dr.Kishore, PG student of department of Prosthodontics, All the staff members of Prosthodontics Dr.Saisadan, Dr.Monnica, Dr.Jagadish, Dr.Praveena,Dr.Saranya and Dr.Sadu lawanya have participated and contributed for the celebration effectively.The patients are given free samples of denture cleansing powder and paste, celebrated with snacks and tea.The program was ended with Photographic session with Principal, Vice Principal, Prostho department staff members, Patients and students as a memorable event.
