Description: The Professor of the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry will play a key role in shaping the future of the college. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the department. Qualifications: Post graduate degree (M.D.S)in Pediatrics and Preventive Dentistry or equivalent qualification A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a recognized dental college A strong track record of research and publication in the field of pediatric and preventive dentistry Experience in administration and management of a department Ability to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning methods Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsibilities: Teaching: Developing and delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of pediatric and preventive dentistry. Research: Conducting independent and collaborative research in the field of pediatric and preventive dentistry and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals. Mentorship: Supervising graduate students in their research projects and providing guidance on their academic and professional development. Departmental administration: Contributing to the management and administration of the department, including developing policies, procedures, and curricula. Service: Participating in college and professional service activities, including committee work, advising students, and contributing to the college's outreach efforts. Professional development: Staying up-to-date with developments in the field and attending conferences, workshops, and other professional development activities. Community outreach: Engaging in community outreach activities, including providing dental care to underserved populations and promoting oral health education.
