PROGRAM OUTCOME – BDS
The graduates should acquire the following during the period of training:
- 1Use critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as capabilities in comprehensive patient care, scientific investigation, and research technique.
- 2Adequate understanding of the developmental, structure, and function of the teeth, mouth, jaws, and associated structures in health and disease as well as their relationship and effect on general health and patient's physical and social well-being.
- 3Assist in developing a thorough grasp of the origin, epidemiology, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, prevention, treatment, and prognosis of oral and oral-related illnesses.
- 4Understand the principles of ethical decision-making and professional accountability, as well as the legal and regulatory obligations relevant to the supply and/or support of oral health care services.

The written examination shall consist of Basic Sciences (Part-I) of three hours duration and shall be conducted at the end of the First year of the MDS course.
