Orthodontics is a dental specialty that addresses the diagnosis, prevention, management, and correction of mal-positioned teeth and jaws, and misaligned bite patterns. It may also address the modification of facial growth, known as dentofacial orthopedics. Orthodontic treatments aim to improve the way the teeth and jaws function, as well as the person’s smile or aesthetic appearance.

To facilitate the students to acquire knowledge in basic behavioral ,clinical sciences, research, teaching and innovative methods related to orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics speciality
