ETHICAL COMMITTEE

The Ethical Committee, also known as the Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC)  is a vital body within research institutions and healthcare settings. Comprising diverse professionals, including scientists, clinicians, ethicists, and community representatives, the committee ensures the ethical conduct of research involving human participants or animals. It reviews and approves research protocols to safeguard the rights, safety, and well-being of participants. The committee evaluates the scientific merit, methodology, and potential risks and benefits of research projects. By adhering to ethical principles and regulatory guidelines, the Ethical Committee plays a critical role in upholding research integrity and protecting the rights of those involved in research studies.
